Does anyone know what the answer to the last Q. on Papaer 2 was. The Rectangle 1. Part (b)?

I got:

Greatest value of 32 when x = 2

Smallest value of 20 when x = 4 or x = 1

How did u get tht?

this is the type of question in there designed to seperate your band1s from your band 2s, but it wasn't as hard as it should have been

The Herald has printed it's report on Higher Maths today. According to them, the exam was one of the easiest for a few years, with the only difficult questions being the P1 natural logs one and the last couple in P2

seems fair enough about there only being two or three difficult questions, but I would say 2005 was much easier than this year :S

It's not the Herald's report which says the exam was easy, it's a collective response from 3 schools - giving a general consensus. smile.gif

I would say the exam was definately easier than last year's, and I thought last year's was a standard easy paper. Ah well, I guess some people will be hoping the boundries don't rocket through the roof tongue.gif
Summer romances end for all kinds of reasons, but when all is said and done, they have one thing in common -- they are shooting stars, a spectacular moment of light in the heavens, a fleeting glimpse of eternity... and in a flash, they're gone.

That's true rolleyes.gif

And if the boundaries were to go up, I wouldn't think it would go up by too much, perhaps 4 or 5 marks max
