Our invigilators are very leanient, although will encourage you to stay in if you are pervieved to be leaving too early
They didnt convince me to stay in my SG French exam longer than 15 minutes lol
i was like that in Gaelic last year...i had finished both reading papers at about 10 minutes each

Yeah there was only 8 of us sitting the exam.
We all left before 10.15. Easyest exam ever.

The only exam I have ever left early in was SG chemistry, both credit and general. The timing allowed for that is just stupid if even I can finish 45 minutes before the end , and Im the slowest workier ever and always get into time difficulties at the end of exams

Because you'd distract anyone who's on the home stretch, which in the last ten minutes a lot of people are. It's the same in all the schools around here.

same in most unis
tomorrow doesn't matter,
turn that music up,
till the windows start to shatter,
cos you're the only one who can get me on my feet,
& i can't even dance

That's pretty uncommon around here. We just get up and walk out of our seats, place the papers and any borrowed equipment in piles on the tables at the front and walk out. Quietly, obviously. But there's time restrictions on when you're not allowed to leave: the first half hour and last ten minutes, usually. That may be SQA policy all round, though.

And for 4 of em I think I took the paper out as well

Don't think its likely that I'm going to leave early this year with highers... prolly going to be in the hall right til the end feverishly scribbling.

For highers though, I plan not to leave, although some people left in the english exam half an hour in... I was like wtf... you clearly haven't finished!
We can't leave during the first fifteen minutes and we can't leave when there's ten minutes left cause we'll distract people.
