Seems a bit strange that this new test won't have a science paper like the BMAT.

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!

Yeah, that's quite weird. It says it's not curriculum-based either; for the BMAT it tests GCSE knowledge, doesn't it?

The UKCAT site is now live:
http://www.ukcat.ac.uk/home/
However, the example questions and test centres won't be online until end May/June
But for now, there is still some info on the test

The only ones which appear to be my weakness are associating shapes!

Oh dear, I must not be very observant.

I like the ones where you have to formulate realistic sentances using codes.
What does everyone else think about it?

Is the ukcat used as a last resort when the admissions panel is unsure about the candidate? Or do they consider everyone's ukcat score?
I tend to be quite good with timing, although I've heard from several people that you simply don't get enough for this test.

Considering most of the Scottish unis use a points system..ie academics has so many points, extra-curricular has so many points, etc, I would imagine that it would just be allocated a certain number of points....but I'm not even gonna attempt to fathom how they choose their students
