Hey how did every 1 find 2 days exam.
Im pretty pleased about it, i thought it was not that bad, just maybe a few things here and there that i had to really think about, but overall i though it was fairly straight forward.

Hey i just thought id make a poll after 2 days exam 2 see wat u all expect to get.
I am hoping for an A, but i think i might get a B.
i want 2 do Adv Physics next year so i really want an A!
Although im pretty confident, even though i was predicted a C, thats cuz the teacher doesnt like, but hey thats a different story.

I agree - there were a couple of questions that stumped me for a few minutes but nothing we couldn't handle. A pretty fair paper tongue.gif

I found it ok, just way too many of those I, II, III questions in the multi-choice, they're quite a problem to me.

I know for certain that i made 2 mistakes in the multi choice, and throughout the paper there were a couple of bits that i didn't even know an equation for, 1 being: -

23) (ii) Show that the difference in pressure between the top and the bottom surfaces of the manifold is 3.0x1064 Pa

But other than that, i would expect a B at least, and perhaps an A smile.gif

I found it difficult but if we're all honest that doesn't say much about the exam.

I thought it was OK.

I hope I can sometime soon download the answers for the papers and see how I did on the multiple choice etc!

I thot it was hard!
Well.... it could have been worse but it was pretty tough. All the questions you really had to think them through. The mutliple choice was quite hard i thot too!!
So yeah... quite hard overall

Forgot to say , the physics teacher at my school (the one that writes the red study book tongue.gif and is jsut lovely biggrin.gif ) said that at first glance it looked not bad but then she said you don't know until you actually work through it. Teacher at the bf's school said it was a tough paper.

well i thot it was hard. I thot some of the multiple choice were pretty tough just like last years paper. I thought it generally could have been worse but i still dont think that it was that straight forward. Thought last years paper, the written part, was quite a bit easier!

I thought it was harder than any past papers from the book but still not too difficult. A few of the multi-choice were quite tricky i thought

Ahh I hate those! I didn't bring my paper home with me but I remember for all of those questions I picked the answer "I, II and III", did anyone else do something similar?

i would agree with that Blaze the paper seemed to have most of the harder content in it. Everyone i spoke to after the exam also found it hard but i don't know anymore certainely in the exam hall i wasn't happy but i did answers all the questions and got logical looking answers for the equations. I suppose what i am saying is i am quite happy really

Two more left and i'm finished biggrin.gif

If i am not here i am somewhere else

Can people post their prelim percentage and what grade they think they got in the exam?

I got 84% in my prelim and I think **think** I got an A in the exam. Fingers crossed! tongue.gif

About 3 questions in multichoice really had me, but I came back to them after doing the rest of the multichoice and that was fine. For example, I panicked on question three after not being able to remember whether it was elastic or inelastic collisions where the vehicles get stuck together. When I came back to it I could easy tell I and III were true, and there was no answer for I, II and III being true, so I could tell what the correct answer was.

I also panicked a wee bit after the first written question was different from usual (expected it to be a projectiles question). In fact, I temporarily forgot v=u+at. But I was able to do it eventually. Then, however, I realised that after folding the question paper over I'd missed out question 21! I was rather pleased I could remember the cosine rule when I finally did that question as I'd be damned if I'd do a scale drawing.

The paper did seem harder than past papers I've tried, but after initial difficulties I was able to answer everything and I was reasonably happy when I checked over. It really did seem like I was working too slow all the way through but I did have plenty time to check over at the end.
