I think I know a way to work out some of your bands.

It is my understanding that SQA exam results are listed by level first, then by grade, i.e.

AH Maths B
H Geography B
Higher Chemistry C
Higher Accounting C

Notice how Chemistry comes before Accounting, shouldn't it be the other way around so they are in alphabetical order?  Does this mean I got a band 6 for Accounting and a band 5 for Chemistry?

The reason I know that they are meant to be in alphabetical order - look at your standard grade results.  They are ordered by level, then grade then alphabetical order by subject.

I think this is the 10th time, but for gods sake its arranged according to the SQA subject code. If you check th page with the broken down version of your results - the one with the units and all - you'll see the subjects listed at the top and notice they're in ascending subject code order.

I was away on Holiday and only got back at 10pm last night, so you can imagine the first thing I did when I got through the door tongue.gif

My Grades are as follows (I've put my prediceted Grade in Brackets):

Busines Management Higher - A ©
Modern Studies Higher - A (A)
English Intermediate 2 - B (A) After the exam I thought I had failed this one biggrin.gif
Maths Intermediate 2 - C (A)

I am going to appeal my maths necause in my first Prelim I got a B in mySecond Prelim I got an A and as you can see I was predicted at an A

With regards to uni I still have to do S6 and achieve a firther 2 Highers (need a BBBB for the course I wish to do)

You may know this already but you'll still probably be asked for BB because the standard entry of BBBB will be for grades achieved in one sitting.

Got my AH chem components yesterday:

Investigation: 24
Written Paper: 54
Multichoice: 34

112/124 - 90% (apparently one mark was taken out the exam somewhere).

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!
