chemisrty please help help

State all of the isomers of hexane?
e.g 2,methylpentane

Thanx if any1 knows anythin about this can they help me PLEASE.sad.gif

Hexane has the formula C6H14. Just think of compounds with the same formula.

Yeah, this isn't as bad as it looks.
My first tip has been posted by michael.
My second tip is draw out the the full structure of hexane and (chemicaly) messa round with it and see what you can make but make sure you have 14 hydrogens and 6 carbons.

6 carbons in a chain: Hexane

5 carbons in chain, 1 branch : 2-methylpentane & 3-methylpentane

4 carbons in chain, 2 branches: 2,2-dimethylbutane & 2,3-dimethylbutane
