hi, could someone please explain to me how to to do this mole calculation.

It tells you the ratio is 1:3 so there must be 0.3g of I2 in the CHCL3 so:

10cm3 ------> 0.3g
100cm3-----> 3g
1000cm(1l) ----> 30 so the answer is 30gl^-1
