Sales Assistant at WHSmith. Get £5.05 per hour + unsociable hours allowance when doing nightshift + taxi to work when I'm on early/taxi home when I'm a backshift.

Tis not too shabby smile.gif

I work as a General Assistant in Uni accomodation, a temporary full time job for the summer between my first and second year at uni. I will hopefully have a job in the Younger Hall as office staff, interview on Monday smile.gif
get £5.80 an hour for both of them.

I work in Tesco and get £4.632...and no, that's not a typo, there is three numbers after the point for some reason :S

Anyway, it isn't too shabby considering I'm only 16...so it's well above the minimum wage for my age group biggrin.gif ...plus the work isn't hard...it's just tedious rolleyes.gif

yeah, i work in morrisons & get £5.21160 an hour. & yes, that is the hourly rate thats on my pay slip! i'm a " front end customer service assistant" ie. a cashier, & we get slightly more than customer service assistants in other departments cos we're handling cash. plus there's the fact that we do a lot more training than the rest of them - there's a huge legal aspect to our job. i mainly do checkout shifts, though i'm getting quite a lot of kiosk shifts now cos a few kiosk people have just left. its not a bad place to work - we open from half 8-7 (backshift finishes at half 7), which is quite good cos it means even if you work a backshift on a friday or saturday, there's still enough time to go out afterwards! they've been quite good the past 2 summers at giving extra hours during the holidays, hopefully this year will be the same!

Yeah supermarkets are good at giving extra shifts during summers, i was just about full time last summer cos of all the regulars who went on hols smile.gif. Helped pay for my hols to Italy and a week in St Andrews before coming to Uni. I find it wierd that you get payed more than a normal customer service assistant would. I worked in Somerfield and everyone got the same regardless of whether you were stacking shelves or whether you were on the tills.

Sales assistant in Accessorize, £5.13 an hour. But I also need my train fair. I work 16 hours a week, and there'll be lots of overtime in the sale.

It goes up to £5.49 after 3 months or something. And we get a pay rise in June.

Woop!
