am stuck at the 2002 paper 1 question 8b) looked at the index of qestion and they say the answer is 7pie/6 but that cant be right because the graph is between 0 and 180. i dont kno what am doin wrong i cant seem to get the answer that is at the back of the book which is 7pie/12. help!

thanx understand it now, but shouldnt you use the double anngle expansions for cos2x?

This is quite an important point. You only have to use the double angle formulae when you have a cos(2x) or sin(2x) term as well as cos(x) or sin(x) terms.

im stuck with this too, ive got as far as cos2x = -sqrt.gif 3/2

i've looked at that look study learn link but i can't understand it unsure.gif
