Your Computer What type of computer are you on?

Hey, I'm just curious, what kind of computer do you have?

My computer:
  • Model: 600 Mhz G3 iMac (Snow)
  • RAM: 640MB
  • Hard-Drive Capacity: 40GB
  • Graphics Card: ATI Rage 128 Pro 16MB
  • Operating System: Mac OS X (10.3) 'Panther'

I primarily use my computer to:
  • Type up my homework (using AppleWorks)
  • Browse the internet (ISP: AOL, Browser: Safari)
  • Listen to music (Using iTunes)
  • Connect my iPod (Using iTunes)
  • Talk to people over the internet (Using MSN Messenger)

My computer isn't extremely powerful, however it does everything I require of it remarkably well. I purchased it in January 2003, and I haven't had a problem with it. In May of that year I bought a 512 MB module of RAM to increase the total to 640 MB.

What's your computer like?

The computer i use for internet is a iMac which is a great computer but my actually computer is a Daewoo which i got at a Comet Auction and really would have been all right but i had to add stuff (monitor, 2 sound cards, 2 graphics cards, USB 2.0 card, RAM, remove modem, DVD-drive, CD-RW drive and lots of external stuff) which means its crappy slow now

They're actually not too expensive anymore.

Of course depends on what you call expensive. Also remember things such as finanace programs. ie. £15 a month is all you pay. Spread the cost!

Dave

the problem with those think of things is the amount of interest you pay before paying it off not to mention the years and years you are paying £15 a month.

Cos it wouldn't be for me anyway i don't even have a job!

I agree. And the time your finished paying it your machine could be quite old anyway!

I think the G4 LCD iMac's will be coming even further down in price soon, they are apparently meant to be getting updated with the new G5 processor....this is a rumor however!

New G5 iMac is released in September smile.gif

I'm considering buying the G4 iMac once the G5 is released because then the G4 will be dirt cheap tongue.gif

My PC (Custom Built) :
Pentium 4 Processor
CPU: 2.8GHz
RAM: 1GB
Hard Disc: 120GB
52x CD-RW
4X DVD-RW

I'm just using the built in graphics card because it does great for games.

Used for:

Programming, Internet, Music, Gaming, Local Server (Used for testing freelance PHP and Java Applets)

Holy topic bumping Batman!

Other topic: http://www.hsn.uk.net/forum/index.php?show...2528&hl=Firefox

Been using Firefox through the "Phoenix" and "FireBird" days.

I only ever use IE to check website designs I create to ensure they work and appeal to the masses.
