Scottish Group Awards (SGA) Which ones are you getting?

I'm not too bothered - the important thing is passing the subjects. I'd get the science one if I had all core skills, but meh...I'm not bothered at all that I don't.

I'd like to think I'm quite technically-minded, but trying to put in my qualifications and everything completely puzzled me - plus I don't know if I've passed the final exam yet so there's no point worrying about getting an SGA lol. I just hope i'm pleasantly surprised when the results come in.

*bump*

Just wondering how you'd get one. Is it a stand alone award? Do you "achieve" it, or does it come automatically?

From reading some stuff on the SQA site (see here), to gain a SGA award at Higher level you need to first have all of the following:
- 3 or more National Courses at Higher
- 8 or more credits at minimum of Intermediate 2 from National Courses and/or National Units
- At least 5 core skills at minimum of Intermediate 2
Did anyone get SGA award(s) last year? Do they come on the certificate just like core skills and what have you?
I should get the Arts: Social Sciences Higher level SGA this year for which you need Higher English or GĂ idhlig as well as 2 social sciences at Higher - I got English and Geography last year and sat History and Philosophy this year. smile.gif
I'm not sure the awards are of any use though.

You will get it if you did the correct subjects at the minimum level or above.

If you have only did SG they will count as Int 1's or Int 2's.

Plus you must have all five core skills at the level below the SGA or higher.

If you haven't done SG then NQ will count, as long as you have the minimum requirements you can have higher, but you must have at least the minimum for what ever SGA you wanting. Remember you must have all five Core Skills at the minimum requirement aswell.

I think its a stand alone award, it doesnt come on your certificate.
