I know how much you all want to see this.
Look at how huge it is!

I'm ever so brave.
The fact that I sat and cried all last Saturday morning before being taken to theatre is irrelevant.
BUT they didn't give me anything to make me dopey before they knocked me out, so surely I get bravery points for that.

ouch! its all bruised

looks painful
Posted 25 February 2006 - 08:40 PM
I know. I only took that today, as well. The brusing was much worse, it's faded a bit. It's not as purple now.
It's just glued together, which is pretty cool. Meant I didn't need any stitches out. :]

no wonder it hurts so much if it was more bruised than that! couldn't they have been more delicate when they cut you open?! lol
Posted 25 February 2006 - 08:43 PM

Posted 25 February 2006 - 08:47 PM

Self Note: Don't look at topics called "My scar" while eating into food.
Looks quite nasty, glad to hear everything's going well for recovery

You'll need to think up some Brilliant, far fetched story to tell ur grand-children and what not.
shark? Helichopper blade

? a skiff by a bullet? that sort of thing

what a truly magnificent scar!!! Whoa, I'd be proud of that one. Looks sore though

My wee sister Rachel has a scar just like that, same width, same place. Hers was a burst appendix. Then it was reopened for a hernia.
Mmmm, I mgiht get a pic of my wrecked thumb when the stitches are out

.

Ouch, that looks painful. I couldn't imagine having a scar that big down there. You must be very brave to go through all that.
Posted 25 February 2006 - 11:48 PM

she wanted me to say "get well soon" and "do you like my pink hotpants?!" and "im not really that fat"
picture of beauty

Did you have to post that pic, Lindsay. Words would've been easier than to show it lol
Posted 26 February 2006 - 12:04 AM
Props to Lindsay, that looks really painful

Ahahahaha! I really need to get a photo of me wearing that t-shirt, it is the best.
I have my "No, seriously... FREE KATIE" one on today. It's a bit fab, also.
And thanks everyone. :] I'm ruddy proud of my scar, hahaha!
Sharon, your sister's scar has faded loads. That's pretty impressive. When I first went into hospital, they thought it was appendicitis. But they were wrong. Just as well really, because I couldn't be doing with this slicing me open only to see that that wasn't the problem at all.
Posted 27 February 2006 - 01:25 PM
Ooh, i know how you feel! Hope you get better soon.
