As Valentines Day is next week i thought i'd start a topic to see who's all sending a card/present this year and what everyone's plans are for the day. I was out today to buy a card for my man, no idea what present to get him though. I have a few extras that i've bought, but it's just so hard to try and find something romantic yet doesn't seem too girly, argh!

I hate Valentine's day.
Probably because I've always been on my own on the 14th of February, haha.
Apart from that one time, when I was going out with Mal. He gave me a bunch of flowers which were leftover from his cousin's wedding, and a box of sweeties which he stole from his mum. I spent over a tenner on him, too. Tight git.
I got a card last year, from someone who sent it to me via the Record. That was sweet. No idea who it was, right enough.

i'm so glad to see that the theme of this thread is very anti v-day, cos i totally argee with that sentiment! i think its just a commercialised thing, just an excuse for the card companies to profit.

I will be rejoicing at the fact that one of my creepy male 'friends' won't be giving me a creepy card like he did on the past two Valentines days. (He won't be giving me a card this year as I've moved roughly 200 miles away and didn't tell him. Woo!)
As per usual, I am a big smelly unloved singleton so won't be giving anyone anything or doing anything special. Go me! Will prob end up at the union declaring my love to everyone and everything. But I do that most nights out.

I'm really into Snow Patrol and The Kooks just now and yes I know I'm a loser but i don't care!<br /><br />I'm a tennor drummer with Turriff and District Pipe Band. We're only a grade 3 band but I wouldn't move bands if you paid me. We had a really good season this year as we are the North of Scotland Champion of Champions!!!!<br /><br />I love meeting new people so add me on msn if you want i don't mind.

valentine's day is a major problem for me. my boyfriend is in africa and if i wanted to get him anything nice for v day then i would have to get a personal courier and had it sent out like a week ago. Since i have like no money i decided to text him and make the suggestion of just posting out a card to each other and celebrating v day when i next go over there even if it is in June!!!!!!

VALENTINES DAY IS A LOAD OF B*LLOCKS!!
Although I like it....
Its my mates birthday and we always do somethin on valentines nite for her bday, eg bowling or party etc etc
This tuesday we are goin out to get drunk of course, starting off at Underworld at 8pm and continuin somewhere else until the wee hours of the morning!
