Just 2 Qs, I need help with so these are the Qs:

1- A graphic can be stored inmemory using 2 different methods. Name and describe these.
2- An image is stored in a pic. field measuring 5 inches by 2 inches. The image is in black&white and the resolution is 800 dots per inch.
(i) Calculate the storage requirement for one photograph.

*For Q2, I thought maybe it is 800(squared) X 5 X 2. But want to make sure, so am I right or not?

2 different methods are bitmap where each pixal is stored and storage per pixal is set to the colour depth. 2nd one is vecters where the image consists of a number of objects (square, circle, triangle) and there attributes (colour, hieght, width) and its these objects/attributes which are stored

storage for image

5 inches = 4000 pixal (800*5)
2 inches = 1600 pixals(800*2)

area = 4000*1600 = 6.4 * 106

As the pixals can only be black or white then the storage per pixal is only one bit so the storage requirement is:

6.4 * 106 bits
= 800*103 bytes
781.25KB
