Memoirs of a Geisha - 6/10. A little disappointed with this one to be honest. Found it to be very long and just not that exciting.
I quite fancy seeing Munich sometime.

Brokeback Mountain - WTF?! Walked out after 20 mins. My bad for not reading what it was about in the first place.

1/10
Underworld - 6/10. Some of the fight scenes at the start were a bit crap. =/ Kate Beckinsale is hot though.

Jarhead - 7/10. Was well acted out I thought. The story didn't really seem to progress that much though. Still, a good movie to see in the cinema!

How open minded of you.
You can't give a film a rating if you haven't seen it.

Cock and Bull Story - 7/10 Was very entertaining though the plot was very random!

Meh. It was way too slow for me. 1/10 for the 20 minutes I saw.

I went to see that on Saturday. I quite liked it but could never ever be bothered reading the book. It is the type of film I could watch once every 3 years. And if you missed 10 minutes of it you wouldnt get the storyline.
I thought there were some really beautiful bits in it but I thought it a bit strange about the Chio girl and the chairman together

- when she was 9 he was about 30 was he not??

Aye, but he was HOT. However, I see your point. It was sorta implied that he fancied her whn she was very young. Myabe that was just me.
It wasn't a bad film at all. Just slightly bland.

I thought Brokeback Mountain was actually pretty good.

I haven't seen it but my girlfriend said its really good. May see it sometime.
Ally, you shouldn't walk out after so little time, unless you felt uncomfortable with the story?

Haha, yeah that's the one.
Nah, not a great fan of slow drama/romantic films.

Recently watched the film "Crash" starring people such as Sandra Bullock and Ryan Phillipe. Really good film with the main issue of racism but portrays it in a completely different way compared to other films. Highly recommend it! 10/10

Watched Van Wilder again recently which is funnier IMO. 7/10.
Signed up to Moviebank today.

Got Football Factory out - will give my rating later.
Edit: I've since watched Anchorman again and now appreciate the it's cult following for the classic lines!!

They all have shite movie tastes
bred: how can you only give anchorman a 3/10 ?

I watched Get Rich or Die Tryin' last night. Not bad, 7/10
Posted 01 February 2006 - 05:44 PM
Oh yeah, I saw that the other week too. I also thought it was alright.
Anchorman was stupid, and at times that was funny. Most of the time it was just stupid though.
Football Factory was alright too. 7/10.

Brokeback Mountain. Twice.
11/10 - one of the most powerful and upsetting films I have ever seen.
