I saw a number of bands at the weekend:

- Salsa Celtica
- Peatbog Faeries
- Capercaillie
- Willy Mason
- Idlewild (awesome)
- KT Tunstall
- The Guillimots (well, I was around... they weren't that good)
- Crowded House

sorry i've only even heard of KT Tunstall

and isn't crowded house that reeeeaalllly old 80's band that sang 'Don't Dream it's over' or have I just lost the plot lol

and isn't capercaillie some sort of traditional scots gaelic dancing?

and Willy Mason sound rude

and i'm serious about all the above i really am that stoopid lol

You've never heard of Idlewild!? ohmy.gif

Just back from the Marlow gig, the only word to describe it would be carnage! laugh.gif

Go listen!

Its that Roddy Woomble one I like. I very much like what he's doing besides Idlewilding, on the Scottish music front at the moment.

ohmy.gif huh.gif

No. Hmm, you getting mixed up with "ceilidh"?! No way... strange.

Well, Capercaillie are a band - "A blend of traditional gaelic folk, world music, comptemporary beats." I've met some of the folk from Capercaillie around the place. The Gaelic department in Aberdeen see's a lot of them passing by!

Saw Black Label Society just before T in the Park.

Mostly my memories are of long hair and beards...it was just like a room occupied by nothing but long hair and beards! There were everywhere, and I mean everywhere, like, in my mouth.

Maaan so quiet now.

Question, for the Carling Academy Glasgow, is it difficult to get into the standing bit when you have a balcony ticket? tongue.gif I have a seating ticket for Paramore after ticketscotland mucked up my tickets, and my friend has a standing... trying to think of ways to get to standing. Is it difficult for those that have tried?

Last time I went to the Carling they caught me trying to sneak in, there horrible there for security, and the staff have their heads up their asses.

I saw the tail end of Elliot Minor's support set with McFly... Wasn't that impressed to be honest.

I was meant to be going to see the Dykeenies at the end of the month, but their PR messed up with review tickets and she has none left now. Sob!

They weren't that good opening for McFly (I was at the Glasgow gig) but I saw them openiong for Fall Out Boy in August and in King Tuts and they were so much better with a small crowd.
