I'm going to Aberdeen to study Politics and International Relations.  I too was going to do law but don't fancy doing the 4 year degree.  Going to do the conversion course as a postgrad instead.

ahhem. might have been panicking slightly!

how to pass basic psychology at strathy - write really good essays on classical conditioning, interpersonal attraction, language acquisition, the stage theory of memory, & the social exchange theory, & learn them. you'll thank me for this advice next year....

Out of curiosity, how do you get to apply for cambridge with the strict deadlines n all?

coolncleo

not a clue, one of my mates applied, just to see if he would get in, he had to do it well early, i know that much

Hopefully going to be doing physics at Heriot Watt (i need a b at higher anything), but if that falls through then I'm going to Heriot Watt anyway to do a general engineering course, from which I could branch off into physics if I wanted to

i got an unconditional for heriot watt to do physics. it was my "incase i wanna go away from home" option - decided against it though!

oh, & for whoever was asking about Cambridge applications - the deadline for Oxford, Cambridge, medicine, dentistry & vetinary medicine applications is the 15th october

Herriot Watt is a great uni, I wish I could thank them for making Scholar by the way!

Yea, going to the Edinburgh campus. As far as I know the Galashiels one only does cosmetics and stuff, if anyone knows any differently (or, unlike me, can actually be bothered lookin up the prospectus wink.gif ) please tell me! smile.gif

Scholar's really useful, I'm gona be using it over the summer to have a look at advanced higher physics stuff, because I didn't get a chance to do it at my school, but my chemistry teacher enrolled me on it anyway, so that's handy smile.gif

Business & Management @ Glasgow. Possibly doing a joint in English Lit. as well.

I'm going to apply to Cambridge as well, just for the banter of course.

Hey, I applied this year and got an offer which is AAA at advanced higher. I know someone who applied last year (for the same college and course incidentally) who got an offer of AAA at advanced higher and A at higher.

To apply you need to submit a CAF (Cambridge application form) to your chosen college along with £10-15 (can't remember the exact figure). This form has all your details on it + an extra personal statement and reference. You also have to do your UCAS form as normal. The CAF and UCAS form have to be done by October the 15th.

They interview almost everyone, you will be invited to travel down to Cambridge in December of late November for interviews. Let me just tell you now the interviews are NOT easy!! They do get you thinking though.

You may also have to submit a test like the BMAT (Biomedical admissions test).

If you have (AT LEAST!) 5 As at higher in one sitting then I would say definitely apply.
