if you do end up doing psychology at strathy, make sure you don't do what i've done. the exam is tomorrow. i know 3 essays really really well. been tryin to write another 3 to learn, & i just keep confusing myself! this is gonna be a lonnnnnnng night......
tomorrow doesn't matter,
turn that music up,
till the windows start to shatter,
cos you're the only one who can get me on my feet,
& i can't even dance

ahhem. might have been panicking slightly!
how to pass basic psychology at strathy - write really good essays on classical conditioning, interpersonal attraction, language acquisition, the stage theory of memory, & the social exchange theory, & learn them. you'll thank me for this advice next year....

Scholar's really useful, I'm gona be using it over the summer to have a look at advanced higher physics stuff, because I didn't get a chance to do it at my school, but my chemistry teacher enrolled me on it anyway, so that's handy

I'm going to apply to Cambridge as well, just for the banter of course.

Hey, I applied this year and got an offer which is AAA at advanced higher. I know someone who applied last year (for the same college and course incidentally) who got an offer of AAA at advanced higher and A at higher.
To apply you need to submit a CAF (Cambridge application form) to your chosen college along with £10-15 (can't remember the exact figure). This form has all your details on it + an extra personal statement and reference. You also have to do your UCAS form as normal. The CAF and UCAS form have to be done by October the 15th.
They interview almost everyone, you will be invited to travel down to Cambridge in December of late November for interviews. Let me just tell you now the interviews are NOT easy!! They do get you thinking though.
You may also have to submit a test like the BMAT (Biomedical admissions test).
If you have (AT LEAST!) 5 As at higher in one sitting then I would say definitely apply.

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!
