I'm just wondering how people are doing with the Higher Product Design course? I am doing okay with the design assignments etc, but i am quite rubbish when it comes to knowing the knowledge part. This isn't helped by the fact that we had a really crap teacher for 5 months.

So how are you all coping with the course?

Im doing ok, my design assignment was sent off last week... The exams really soon now.... !! @_@

I didn't even take standard grade craft, so I'm quite clueless about all the basic processes and woods....

are there any good resources out there that would help?

Thanks! I think I'm gonna just revise from the book i was given though. And revise like hell! our school also has a pretty good program showing us the prosesses and stuff. Think it may be called 'focus on design' or something.

i was thinking about crashin it next year (ive done graph. comm. Sg and Higher) - but also want 2 do H Art, AH Maths and AH Chemistry
does it involve alot of work outside class time - like a folio or sumthin coz i will also need to spend alot of time in Art ???

Yeah, there is quite a lot of work for it.
It was my worst subject for homework and stuff.
You should be able to do it since you've done Graphics.

hey
for the people that are having truble with the knolage of the materils and prosses.
i have a quiz that my school gave me that i will be happy to give u. this tests u on all difrent parts of the corse .
it is amied at stander grade but has the foundations and a wee bit more to higher product.
it gets u chalenging urself and makes u work harder.
