I have like one pair of shoes that I actually wear. tongue.gif I think I also have two pair of sandles which (for obvious reasons) can't be worn, and a pair of black shoes should I ever choose to wear a skirt or dress (hah!). Yup.

Also, hostin' a party tonight. Woo.

Can I come along?

#89837 Crashing Higher Computing?

Posted by John on 07 October 2006 - 01:23 PM in Computing

University "Computing" will be difficult dependent on the university you goto and whether or not you did the Advanced Higher.

As I'm finding the Computer Science side of my degree easy, and the Mathematics side, slighlty not as easy, but thats becuase i did thatAdvanced Higher, and the Maths we have covered atm is Higher level.

that is very true

#89860 Crashing Higher Computing?

Posted by John on 08 October 2006 - 12:25 AM in Computing

It all depends on the University.

Although Glasgow University seems to be the Avanced Higher course for the first year and that's it all i can really say.

When it comes to programming, you can't just learn it, you would learn individual languages.

In most cases Universities will use Java in the early years, and maybe switch to C++ in later years, or keep doing Java.

But the data collected from smaller tests, can be applied to a larger bomb and a very accurate prediction can be computed.

I AM ANNOYED.

That's two laptops that I've ordered which have delivery dates that keep getting set back even though I was guaranteed to have them delivered on time. I NEED A LAPTOP FOR THIS STUPID MDP CLASS.

I am going to cancel them both and order this little beast instead.

It's cute. It will make me happy.

not to burst your bubble or anything

But that laptop is a rip-off.

QUOTE(Donna @ Oct 9 2006, 06:59 PM) View Post

Agreed. You could do better than that, Tuppence.

goto Mesh Computers and you could get a dual core, laptop for that price with a 17" screen, etc

Posted by John on 09 October 2006 - 06:17 PM in General Chat

I didnt say you wanted a 17" laptop, i was just stating what you could get for your money.

But i seriously suggest you check out the site, as you will get a better deal with them than with Ebuyer.

I work for the mighty 'Spoons and have done since March.

I love it, although they don't seem to understand my request for "less then 30 hours work a week, please, I am trying to be a fulltime uni student!"

They seem to think 5 shifts is do-able.

Noh!

You need to tell them you want FAR less hours a week and not mention a number. This way you'll probably get 20!

P.s I work in jd sports and have done for over a year. I don't wish to talk about it or I may say something I regret!

I don't blame you, my mate that works in the JDs in trongate says its full of NEDS lol
