if you want to develop amino acids without ninhydrin, try using iodine crystals, but do it in a closed jar. This might not be as good as ninhydrine, but it should be fine.

QUOTE(jon2005 @ Aug 18 2006, 01:09 AM) View Post

hey, just had my second lesson today and feel that while I'm coping well with gear changing and start/stopping etc. I just cannot get a hang of steering properly i.e the whole pull/push thing. Anyone got any tips for getting this engrained into memory as quick as possible?? thanks!

the push pull thing comes naturally as you drive more and more. Ive had 3 lessons and I think im getting the hang of the steering. It's just moving off thhat can be dodgy...I was at a traffic light, right at the front, and I stalled as it came green, hence missing the whole light (you should have seen the queue behind me biggrin.gif)

I'm home for a bit to fiddle with ringtones, then I'm heading off to Polkemet Park for a wander. Yay for me, yo.

My brother was golfing there this morning.

Sadly, I didn't golf. I wrestled my girlfriend's brother and was hooked twice in the face, earning myself a burst lip. laugh.gif

I've got to go ready for work soon. Bah >>

I know everything about Polkemet Park... cool2.gif Sit down kids...

Felt that the penalty was a clear dive but other than that officials did really well. Some good calls.

but then france should have had a penalty later on, so I suppose it balanced out.

Shearer - "What makes me even more gutted about being knocked out is the teams left in the semis, I mean, only one or two players from those four countries would get in our team..."

Eh? Arrogant git. dry.gif

Buffon,
Nesta, Grosso, Cannavaro, Thuram
C.Ronaldo, Gattuso, Zidane, Pirlo
Henry, Totti/Del Piero

and Vieira, Makalele...and any goalkeeper in those 4 teams hahaha (oh right I see u done a squad of 11 ^). Terry and Gerrard (and Crouch biggrin.gif) are the only players I would consider putting in a World 11

about the ronaldo / rooney incident. Im a bit pissed off about how the media is stirring up the sudden rivalry and hatred between them. It was the quarter final, heat of the moment, and rooney pushed ronaldo. IMO, that didn't mean much other than just Rooney's stupid temperament. He would have pushed anybody. I doubt they can't play along together and manure, but then again, Ronaldo wants to leave so....

we love you Bastian Schweinsteiger

15 oz steak and a 24 pack of Becks, ... yep im ready for the final

I correctly predicted it would be 3-1 to the germans! (I also predicted the goals to all come in the 2nd half)

man, you can't put something like that in without having any evidence or justification. Let me guess, your next post will be a bunch of Quranic verses, taken out of context. These verses were revealed to suit things that were going on at the time it was revealed such as war, peace treaties, etc.

Um...no I don't get you. The big bang happened, amino acids combine on the young Earth to form proteins, which makes cells...cells divides and multiply....eventually they become simple lifeforms, which has been proven to exist. These simple lifeforms evolved into simple creatures, which evolved into more complex creatures.

I think you have over simplified this. Cells are extremely complex things.

I thought the exam was pretty fair - and detritivores are saprotrophic (feed on decaying organic matter), not heterotrophic.

I googled it and all the links on Google unanimously think that detritivores are heterotrophs and that decomposers are saprotrophs?!??

that sounds right, cos detritivores can be insects right?
