### #102430Higher Physics homework help

you could do a diagram for question 2, something, like a North, East, West, South, (the crossing straight lines, with each point labelled) with a line going off to the north-east, then label the 45 deg angles, you should be able to see the triangles for the trig.

and question 1 would be similar sort of question

hey

if a gale is blowing from west to east, there is no northerly direction
therefore the component is 0ms-1

the tide is flowing at 45 degrees to both directions respectably
to work out the north, it is 5sin(45) from your basic knowledge of trig
hence the east direction can be figured from 5cos(45)

you should get
i) 3.54 ii) 3.54

btw, it is going north east so both components will be the same

hope this helps, just finished doing it myself

when 100cm3 of dilute nitric acid, concentration 0.1 mol l-1, is neutralised by sodium hydroxide solution, 570 joules of heat is liberated
calculate the enthalpy of neutralisation of nitric acid

i know it's a simple question but i struggle with calculations !
