id like to make one point and that is that neither science or religion can be conclusively proven

stop talking about scientific fact - there is no such thing

what appears to have been proven could be shown to be wrong in 10, 20 or 100 years time look at mediaeval times scientists thought the world was flat now we say where the fcuk did they get that from

difference between science an religion is that science is based on empirical evidence religion is based on faith

some people need this empirical eveidence to believe something others dont but everyone has a right to believe what they believe without being ridiculed by others who dont even have the decency to respect others beliefs
if you want to give your opinion fine do it but there is no need for the total disrespect and ridicluing of others that has gone on

Posted by krazykooki on 26 March 2006 - 06:54 PM in New Sixth Years

this is for all these people thinking of taking 3 AHs an a H DONT DO IT lol if you've got the grades you need for uni in fifth year or only need an extra couple of grades then dont give yourself a really hard year for no reason take things you'l enjoy an make sure you have fun from whats been said at my school theres no such thing as an easy AH some might be easier than others for different people but theyl all involve a lot of work so dont giv urself unneccesary hard work
if u can do what we do at my school an take 3 subjects then do learning support in 1st/2nd year classes or go do a community/ work experience thing

it doesn work perfectly, the reason it doesnt is we evolved to such a level of complexiety, if it worked perfectly thered be no illness, disease or any form of ill-health at all

evoloution works look at bacteria, single celled organisms, if subjected to a certain anit bitotic for a period of time they will evolve to be immune

View Post

but you have to remember darwin who was a devout christian came up with evolution?!?

View Post

science tells us how things happen an religion tells us why things happen science an religion do not clash they compliment each other what also has to be realised is that there are differnt ways of interpreting the Bible 1) everything in the Bible is literal and the exact words of God therefor many Christians treat it as an exact guide as how to live their lifes 2) the Bible is partly true but some of it is meataphor, poetry etc therefor things that seem impossible ie walking on water are symbolic of Jesus' power etc people who believe this use the Bible as a more general guide therefor getin back to the point Darwin was not threatening his Christian beliefs by comin up with evolution

most embarassing non drunk moment has to be in P6 wen i had to recite a poem in assembly an had a panic attack dropped the microphone an ran out the hall screamin 'I can't do it' in unbelieveably high pitched voice im still famous for it

most embarassin drunk moment was wen i tried to do the cha cha slide on the slippery bowlin lanes an wen it got to the how low can u go bit i somehow managed to go flyin backwards down the alley then a security guard tried to help me up an i used his private male areas to pull myself up then the group i was wi started cheeerin at this point im still holdin on an the whole bowlin alley turned round an stared at this point i let go an attempt to walk away but in the proces walk into a pole
