im doing AH music this year and its great fun.
im doing bagpipes and glock ( damm thing)
for my composing i did serial music ( you know, just pick a note at random smile.gif )
but im always trying to finds of how not to play 10mins on the glock cos basically i suck at it.
the dissertation things pretty easy all u do is say something that sounds clever then stick a bit of manuscript paper in of the tune.

#97864 bring on the history!

Posted by william on 17 May 2007 - 11:36 AM in History

well my special topic is about the union! which is really boring and i cant seem to remember any of the treaty stuff or who bribed who.
as for unit 1 its the french revolution which is just about everyone hating the king, killing him then killing each other.
unit 3 is mary queen of scots, gosh she got about! first nearly getting married to henry the 8ths son then the french kings son then it was going to be the spanish kings son but he went loopy, but she finally married two scottish guys, in the end i still dont have a clue blink.gif

#97691 Help! Radiation!

fission mainly
induced
induced is easy to spot cause theres a big old neutron added to the front of the equation.
fusion is when a big atom splits in two given two lighter atoms and a neutron + energy
thats about it really, i think......

#97687 New Higher Music Layout

Posted by william on 15 May 2007 - 07:44 PM in Other

well for most of my year ive been playing games on contramovies.com ( cause it avoids the proxy filter in school)
as for the new layout, it has made performing really easy, i play the bagpipes so a five min playing piece is nay bother ( btw ive got my exam on the 22nd cause i had an sudden operation and missed it bk in march, )
but the listening SUCKS i mean i hate it but the grid question is a hell of a lot easier than the years before, they looked impossible! but i hear whispers of another question where you have to put in concepts for a sorta story.

overall, music is a pretty easy subject ( minus the listening) dry.gif

#97233 Stuck on a past paper question

Posted by william on 13 May 2007 - 01:27 PM in Physics

well i guessed the pilot didnt want to get his ears really hurt from the sound!

#97226 Stuck on a past paper question

Posted by william on 13 May 2007 - 10:47 AM in Physics

its all to do with waves and interference,
if waves are in phase they will undergo constructive interference and produce a maximum ( e.g loud)
but if waves are out of phase then they will undergo destructive interference and cancel out to give a minima ( e.g no sound)

hope this helps like smile.gif

Clarification: is it y=2x^2 + 5\sqrt{3}x + 1 or y=2x^2 + 5\sqrt{3x} + 1?

yeah it was the first equation, thanks for the help.
