the first one you just read out the data book, the second one was propyne (not prop-1-yne cause that dont exist everybody)
and the third one had two lines.
i got 76% for the prelim, 80% for the written part and i foudn that really really difficult i think feindish compared to past papers. i think every year we have a difficult paper like that, last year it was credit math(even though i got a 1 1 for that)
hopefully i might have scraped and A if not ill presuade the teacher to appeal even though she say i cant appeal for an A with that result......i ask why???

#3655 How did you find the exam?

English
i answered a question during the year
choose a poem that at first glance seems an insignificant incident
show how the writer develops this incident and makes apparent the wider significance.
int he exam there was
choose a poem in which a chance encounter or a seemingly unimportnat inciden aquire increased significance by the end of the poem
show how the poet's development of the encounter or incident leads you to a deeper understanding of the poems's theme.
that was a beaty but i never answered it. IMO scrap the stupid mass media and language section and poetry and give more prose and drama

and i am pretty positive that as long as you give a good reason wether ti increases or decreases system performanceyoull get the mark.

QUOTE (aaa @ May 31 2004, 06:57 PM) |
hey porsch! i got 65% for my course work ,wat % do i then need to get an A.?? lets say the passing mark this is for an A is 70.. ![]() |
since you got under 70% for the coursework then you need more than 70% to get an A!!!! i think about 72% should work out at 70 for an A i think.
lets see: -
suppose the whole thing is out of 100 (its not i dont think)
30% is coursework that is 30 marks
you have 65% of those 30 = 19.5
so you have 19.5/100 so far
70% of 100 = 70 of course
70-19.5 = 50.5
50.5/70 *100 = 72%
i need 40/70 = 57%
see how working hard at coursework pays off people, next year if you take AH computing then coursework is 50%!!!
the number that i have quoted the exam out of are wrong but it will work for any number i think you will find. all i know is that the exam is 70% of the course and the coursework is 30%

then in the second one i did the same.....but both prelim where A B prelims and the exam was A B C.
the cut off will not go above 75% plus a percentage point maybe.
where the extra 20 marks for working or more questions, how can you put more working than is required thats just stupid come on!!!
i think working is stupid, as long as you get the answer you should get full credit, unless you cheat of course.
in my second prelim i got the answer to = 2 but was told the way i got the answer was unmathematical......wtf does that mean....i got the answer. i didnt recognize the polynomial and i should have done some synthetic division. to which i replied that synthetic division isnt real math either. its not accepted in england.
synthetic guys think about it...

i thought it was more difficult than last year.
the data integrity question i put error checking none fo the checksum or parity check rubbish.
someone said globular variable i think erm.....i think your getting mixed up with you bio or chem with globular proteins lol, global variable are variables whos value can be used in any procedure, or module, whatever you want to call it.
the ProLog question was hard, i never knew some beetle where cannabil lol.
all in all with my full marks for coursework i need 57% For and a if it 70% cut off and 62% if its a 75% cut off, so not too many worries.
