Fab idea, seeing as no one posts any more tongue.gif

Will there be booze? I'm in need of a good old booze-up.

You took the words right out of my mouth!

Some afternoon, choose a pub in Glasgow.

No perverts/weird people thank you.

No, no, no kiddies - Hangovers are B-A-D - bad! pinch.gif

Tis true, very true, i woke up with a lovely one this morning, the thumping headache is still there dry.gif

It was worth it though

I woke up on the sofa at my friend's flat at 6.30 with the sun blaring through the window. I think I groaned "mmmehhh-arrrrghh" for about 15 minutes before finding the strength and gut to actually get up and close the curtains.
It was actually a pretty crap night - girl I like couldn't go, folk from work that I don't get on with turned up and then I tried to set up my friend with a girl we met and it was going perfectly until he blew it by being a grumpy git despite admitting he liked her and there was the usual work arguments that break out on a drunken night!

Oh! Tonight I'm out with same crowd! No drinking for me though, best behaviour. biggrin.gif

6am start - I can tell it's going to be the bad day as the first thing I did was spray deodorant in my eye. Thankfully I was still half-asleep at the time so I was numb enough for it! laugh.gif

HI PEOPLE, POST STUFF.

Hello thar! I'll post about my week so far and what's ahead!

I had to run menswear for most of yesterday which was fun!
I've been trying my best to revise for a resit next week but I'm lacking in motivation.
I've got a date tomorrow night with a girl from Ladieswear.
I played well at football tonight which is a bit of a confidence boost.
I'm just out the shower and I smell pretty damn good.
Oh, I also have some Haribo Starmix as well which always brings good times!

Ermmm, good enough?

My bro:

Bloody hell! Aiden looks exactly like my wee cousin (won't post a picture, but I'll show you next time I see you).

Think they're a similar age. Someone had better see if some milkman did some rounds in Aberdeen and Killie about 12/13 years ago! laugh.gif

Sorry what Scott? That means you preordered it... or queued?! Yoo?!

My brother pre-ordered it so that my mum could take it over to him when she visits. He gave me permission to read it. tongue.gif

#99807 The Final Harry Potter Book

Posted by Scott on 21 July 2007 - 10:12 AM in General Chat

Got out my bed and started reading it a wee while ago. Only on Chapter Five. I have to leave for work at 1 though and I'm not going to be home until 9. Booo. sad.gif

Do you know what would be really funny? If you went into Waterstones at 12pm tonight and bought some random book, or the first Harry Potter, haha!

Edinburgh had it's fair share of sad gits in tonight. People queuing overnight for Harry Potter and people queuing overnight for the Next sale. laugh.gif

I maybe should have been slightly nicer than walking past them with fellow staff members and then laughing!

My neighbour had a traffic cone in their garden? Recently?

I cannot remember that.

No, no, no it was ages ago! I distinctly remember a video of your neighbours garden with a traffic cone sitting right in the middle of it. It's either that or I'm going senile with old age. sad.gif

How in God's name am I meant to move all of that?

I hate hormones, they make me go on insane tidying sprees. And make me get bored halfway through. Sigh.

Ooft! That's a lot of random stuff! What's worrying is that you only started to get bored halfway through. Did your neighbour ever move that sightly traffic cone from the garden!? laugh.gif

#99787 The Football Thread

Posted by Scott on 20 July 2007 - 01:01 AM in General Chat

Ended up going along to that too. Wouldn't say 2-1 was kind seeing as we had a few decent chances and Nishy's chalked off goal was dubious as the player walked back on the pitch before jumping back off! laugh.gif To be honest, we could have upped the gears at any point but nobody really seemed interested in doing so. When we did for about 5 minutes we looked not bad and then we just lost interest again. We're usually pretty dire pre-season anyways, but last nights game was pedestrian pace sort of stuff and wasn't worth the 10 entrance fee.

I usually don't go to pre-season friendlies because they're normally dire and based on everything about last nights game I don't think I'll be heading to any more if they're going to be played like that.

- Salsa Celtica
- Peatbog Faeries
- Capercaillie
- Willy Mason
- Idlewild (awesome)
- KT Tunstall
- The Guillimots (well, I was around... they weren't that good)
- Crowded House

sorry i've only even heard of KT Tunstall

You've never heard of Idlewild!? ohmy.gif

Just back from the Marlow gig, the only word to describe it would be carnage! laugh.gif

I don't know what to do!

Eh!? At a Dance I would assume there would be some sort of body movement, what do they call it again!? Oh yes, dancing! tongue.gif Sarcastic comments aside when are you back in Edinburgh? I may have some sites lined up for us.

Also, the weather through here was great up until about 5 when it rained for half an hour or so. biggrin.gif

15th July - Marlow in The Jam House, Edinburgh.
19th July - Marlow in Capitol, Glasgow.

Missed the gig last night due to the fact I was shattered. sad.gif

Anyone with the Thursday night free should get along to Capitol on Sauchiehall Street and see them. Tickets available at: http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/user/?region=gb...mp;event=224769 (There's a pay on door option too I think or to be certain of entry get tickets from the place under Central Station)

Here's a few videos from their gig last night (Poor audio quality unfortunately):
You Cannot Stop New York City
Across Winter
Nuclear Reaction

Bebo / Myspace

I am...just! Working full time at the moment to cover shifts though so that's a bit crap. sad.gif Apparently I might get tomorrow off as there are a lot of staff in tomorrow or I might be working sale prep, which is brilliant as I can just hang about the stockroom swing ticketing things and going "Sale", "Not Sale". biggrin.gif

I made dinner for me and my wee brother tonight! AND I made fairy cakes this afty. AND I've got a carrot cake in the oven as we speak.

Bree of Desperate Housewives fame, eat your heart out.

Oooh, multi-talented!

Speaking of Airdrie slang, I remember being in Coatbridge at midnight last year at that Showcase place after a Muse gig when some guy drove up beside my mate's car and asked us if we wanted any "Corn on the Cob". Oh my, it made me laugh. laugh.gif
