You clearly lack the ability to understand basic English.

I did not suggest in any way that you provoked the "sectarian" attack, I clearly stated that you have a habit of causing controversy on this forum whenever you create a topic.

scott, would i be right in saying ur 'religion' is either a hearts or rangers fan?doesnt matter either way, but iv jus seen ur comment an was disgusted. i think its a disgrace that u could think a name, a fairly common name and one which i have been called for many years, was sectarian.

to the moderators: i call for the immediate banning of the user 'scott' from hsn for a rediculous attack on my name.

edit: im not kiddin, im seriously ragin about this, it wasnt even me that brought the topic up i was just postin it as a favour

You do realise you have a habit of causing trouble?

I wont even suggest getting you banned, as I'm not that pathetic.

#98409 Computing 2007

Posted by John on 23 May 2007 - 06:38 PM in Computing

The main diffrence is that they moved the Programming section almost whoely into the AH.

Changed the paper layouts as mentioned, and added a little more depth to the 3 units, but not alot, pretty much just removed a unit and changed the exam layou.

I think us Scots should learn better English, and learn that Haggis, Kilts, Bagpipes, and pretty much anything that is remotely thought of as 'Scottish' is infact not, other than outr violence, and intolerance of the English, oh and bad health record, and moronic voters.

Come on chaps, have some faith in yourselves! smile.gif

If i fail then that's very bad as i've passed all the past paper ones AND marked by my physics teacher! happy.gif Averaged 67%

Not bad but i'm want to push it towards a B biggrin.gif

Good Luck All wink.gif

An average of 67% on Past Papers, 2000 to 2005, would equal an A, just though. 2006 on the otherhand it's a shortfall of 11%.

Thanks for the solutions once again! I tried to mark quite strictly and am looking at 80% so am pretty chuffed with that! I have one question Mr H, for question 3 on paper 1, would you still gain full marks even if you didn't multiply out the brackets? Cause i didn't multiply them out!

No, as all you have done is substition, which would be worth 1 mark out of 3?

To get the full marks you are required to multiply out and simplify.

Am I correct Mr H?

Would it be possible for you to put up a copy of the actual paper if possible?

No can do John, sorry! Copyright.

Int2 and AH too If possible please biggrin.gif
We have very quick scribbled solutions for Int2 but will be putting up a neat copy as soon as possible.
IMHO it was a VERY straightforward exam, much easier than this years Credit yet worth more UCAS points. Go figure?!

We did not have anyone sitting AH this year so we don't have papers to make solutions for. Might get some from another school in due course.

Damn copyright dry.gif

Not even with a backhander?

I missed Eurovision. T_T Working.

I have been wondering. I was reading a thing SAAS sent me and it says the non-income assesed loan is 870. Is that all the loan I'm getting? I don't mind having to pay it back but 870 only just covers food, I'll be sleeping in a box.

sounds to me like you've only applied for the non-income assessed part - did you put in details of your parents income? if not then try resubmitting your application with your parents income details in - provided they're ok with you doing that - & you might get more.

if not, then its cos SAAS have decided your parents earn enough to support you through uni so you're only getting the bare minimum loan (i'm pretty sure the minimum amount you get if you're studying away from home is around the 800 and something mark).

Most likely Ice needs to send proof of her parent's inome to SAAS before they'll tell her how much she's to get.

#97161 The School Day

Posted by John on 12 May 2007 - 03:23 PM in New Sixth Years

In my old school this is the way it was meant to work, don't know if it did though.

1st and 2nd years, the attendance officer would actively call every absent pupil that day to find out why they are absent.

All other years, an automatic phone call home.

Don't worry about MOSFETs too much, they hardly ever come up, ad if they do it's just identifying the circuit symbol or components of it.

Well I kinda like maths myself and I'm going to do it at AH level so I've got to get an A in this blink.gif

Same I want to get an A anyway... I pretty much enjoy maths a lot, I like challenging questions unless they're to do with log xD I hate it.

I think I'm alright about it, but panicking cause physics is the day after and I really suck at it. I want to get a B but I've been getting C's a lot >.> So I don't know what to do whether to study maths or physics loads

I'd recommend doing both, but slightly swaying to the Physics side, as it seems you will cope withthe mathematics exam fine.
