Its going to be one of the best weeks of your life - even if you don't go every night, its worth it.

Mind, I thought that about all of my Highers in 5th year!

I'm shocked about it. I probably done everything all right but just messed the figures up or everything was actually ok and I made a big drama out of it tongue.gif

This time last year, my nerves were all over the place.

Right now, I'm chilled because I've got my place at Uni.

Good luck and for 5th year candidates, there is always 6th year...

#47238 What's On Your Mind

Posted by Kevin_Kilbane on 05 August 2005 - 06:33 PM in General Chat

I'm so tired from work its unreal. I've done 3 8am starts, so I had to get up at 6.45 am Tuesday, Thursday and today.

I could barely feel my legs last night and everything felt so slow.

Now, I'm doing my contracted hours over the weekend and 8-6 on Monday.

Roll on Friday smile.gif

The manager practically called me a liar today. She "couldn't quite believe" my reason for leaving. Basically i told her the reason i'm quitting is because i've earnt nearly £900 and if i earn any mroe i'll need to tell the SAAS. This would more than likely reduce my bursary amount, so it's pointless earning money when it'll be taken off the thing i'm getting for free. So i had to sign a form which is being sent to Gregg's which is to do with my dodgy leaving reason or soemthing.

Your manager sounds a bigger tit than mine.

Why did you say you were leaving? And whats the problem with it?

Does it not vary company to company?

You can resign with immediate effect though, can you not?

Say your looking to work more hours, but your present job won't give you more.

Employers love people who say they want to work a lot.

I don't understand why the manager is complaining that you gave out her name?

She's the manager FFS.

Managers are paid more than you to deal with these situations.

It's their concern, not yours - your only getting paid to sell pies.

Don't worry about it.
