#99253 What's On Your Mind

Posted by ice_illusion on 08 June 2007 - 12:43 PM in General Chat

My shoes arrived today.
They match the dress perfectly! And they're red. And I didn't realise they had such a big heel, I can walk fine in them, it doesn't feel like a big heel, but the boy isn't mauch taller than me at my shortest. Oh well, I love them.

Parcel Force are delivering my shoes...
It's ok, I still have a week. And the delivery was free. But I better get them before the ball. And they better fit the same as the ones in the other colour. You lot are worrying me.

#99180 student accomadation questions

Posted by ice_illusion on 04 June 2007 - 04:54 PM in After School

No, from the (very) few I've seen round Aberdeen really does have grim accomodation.
On the bright side it is a cheaper and at least it's hard to break anything.

#99124 Human Biology and Biology - is one simply better?

Posted by ice_illusion on 03 June 2007 - 03:27 PM in Biology

Theres not a whole lot on ecology in plain biology. Personally I would definately go for biology but I like plants and such. For biochem theres the photosynthesis cycle extra from human, but I think human might have some cell signalling. You do plant cells and animal cells in normal bio, transpiration has some cell biology in it, as does cellular defences of plants. Does human biology do biotechnology? I'm just trying to pick out the bits I think you might like. oh genetics, you get more genetics on normal biology.
You don't really go into great detail for cell biology for either until AH.
TBH I don't think it really matters which you choose.

Still, had a great water fight with my entire year.

I saw the video the other day. Really liked the video. Couldn't hear the music though.

I was on another forum. And opened a thread about POTC3. And got a really big spoiler. And I am not happy at all. There weren't any spoiler marks. mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

Oh and the Forth Bridge tolls are going to be scapped?
My dad was coming home from Edinburgh, stuck in a traffic jam before the bridge listening to the radio in a storm (no storm here, I almost got a tan). The news was on, they announced it and a crazy shaped bit of lightening almost hit the bridge a second later. I don't think Zeus is pleased, he must be a Green.

Bodyshop stuff is actually pretty good, with the 20% discount I got today it was cheaper than Benefit and much cheaper than the YSL touch Eclat I was going to buy.
Maybe I should get some sort of card. Now I can actually use Ebay legally.

#99038 Well that was the exam...

Good on both counts then.

#99035 What's On Your Mind

Got to say I agree with the Madeleine thing too.

I spent 30 quid on three items of makeup today. Half of me can't believe how much money I spent, the other half of me is having a girly fit. No purple hollows under my eyes. YAY! And the BodyShop lipstain is really pretty and I've managed to find the 2 exact shades of eyeshadow I've been looking for for ages, and the other two I should have been looking for.
I got a water gun too.

#99034 What was your first CD?

After a few more Beatles cds my good start was follwed by Steps.

Posted by ice_illusion on 30 May 2007 - 07:31 PM in Biology

Yaaaay!
It's a good subject. Stick at it, a lot of people quit becuase the hardest bits were done first but it got much better after that.

#98993 What's On Your Mind

Posted by ice_illusion on 30 May 2007 - 07:29 PM in General Chat

Nah, I don't think it was particuarly great. There were some good bits but it wasn't like the first.

Is that what happened in the second one? I went to see it when it was in the cinema, I can't remember any of that.

I was on a date though. I was probably sitting there in a complete, "ZOMG DOES HE LIKE MEEE?" daze.

I can't realy remember either and I wasn't on a date. I remember the dog and someone almost getting eaten. I liked the dog.

#98954 Uni Grades!

Posted by ice_illusion on 30 May 2007 - 11:50 AM in After School

I have ABB at AH.
No idea whether I've got them. It's going to depend on the pass marks and my investigations.

#98953 Well that was the exam...

Posted by ice_illusion on 30 May 2007 - 11:48 AM in Chemistry

It was a hydrocarbon wasn't it?
I was worried it was a trick question.

#98872 Well that was the exam...

Posted by ice_illusion on 29 May 2007 - 01:30 PM in Chemistry

So how did everyone find the exam?

I thought it wasn't too bad, went a lot better than I thought it would. It wasn't easy but I at least had half an idea for most of the questions.

#98838 One last question...

Last minute thing i need to clear up...

is it the MnO4- ions that are purple coloured or the Mn2+ ions that are coloured?

What you mean is right.
MnO4 ions are purple, Mn2+ are colourless.

#98831 Exam Post Mortem

Posted by ice_illusion on 28 May 2007 - 08:50 PM in Geography

I said census and went into details of how it was carried out (I guess that start of year concentration was good for something) and then mentioned vital registrations.

2 hours, worse than me.
Was computing 2 and a half hours? We had some people in doing it at the same time becuase they had another exam in the after noon. They were eating their lunch for part of paper 2, I think one had egg sandwiches, the exam hall smelt eggy.

The highlight of my day today will definitely have been me revving up the car just a bit too much whilst my handbrake was on on my driving lesson and terrifying two wee neds laugh.gif (wearing jammies blink.gif ), it was an accident, really innocent.gif

Yaaay go you.

I'm in a good mood.

I almost drove into a teachers car today too, but I'm not ina good mood becuase of that. Actually that was quite embarassing. Oh well, 1 more exam to go.
