I do know that people of faith send there children to catholic schools because its basically the only thing they can get for free (which btw i think is wrong) the point still stays the same. The point is religion has been added to education and that can only be a bad thing

no i didnt - they all started talkin about periods now...and its hardly off topic is it, although i don't think im going to join in on the rest of the conversation.

PSE? That's Lifeskills, isn't it? Well, we only get one period of that and it's actually quite cool. Outside speakers come in and talk about things like the Army, consumer affairs and just general stuff like that. You don't even have to attend, but it's usually fairly interesting.

We don't get RE this year. I think it should be taught, if for no more reason than to keep an open mind about other religions. I think it's interesting, anyway -- but then I find dust interesting, so that might just be me. ^^; ...Actually, we did get something RE-y in the form of a Christian rock band. That was loads of fun! They were quite good, as well.

they are really pointless. thankfully, this year our school has taken PSE off the 5th/6th year timetable (not sure about other year groups), and replaced it with a period of 'Study' every Friday morning!!
i dont do R.E. anymore though, even although it still takes up an hour a week, instead i got permission to go to piano lessons! didnt want my piano to be interfering with my classes, so was the best solution!! wink.gif

we do get workshops and things like that throughout the year though, instead of PSE. think we get the day off sometime in March for a Health/Alcohol/Sex/Lifestyle talk/workshop thing. huh.gif

That would be soo much better...at the moment we have pe, re and pse on a rota sad.gif I think studying would be more beneficial

we have p.s.h.e as well but you have the choice for r.e
r.e is not that popular at my school but is very popular in my friends school

in p.s.h.e we get sex education ... point in that at my age cause most of the people in my school have left so they can look after their babies and the rest of us are wanting to do proper work

right now we are doing heartstart and it is only good because of the people in the class ... its so annoying
and drivers ed when im not even 17 yet

i think p.s.h.e should be shot of
