  • Interests:I'm me, I guess. I wear glasses, have short spiked hair, about 5ft 9 (I think). I left fifth year of school in 2005 and is currently unemployed. I used to go to Strathclyde University to do MEng Chemical Engineering, but I hated the course, so I quit. I've started doing MSc Mathematics, from September 2006, as I have a keen (almost unhealthy) interest in Mathematics, and its applications.<br /><br />The grades I achieved in the exams:<br /><br />1 - Standard Grade Mathematics<br />1 - Standard Grade Physics<br />1 - Standard Grade Chemistry<br />1 - Standard Grade Computing Studies<br />1 - Standard Grade Craft and Design<br />2 - Standard Grade English<br />2 - Standard Grade Geography <br /><br />A (Band 1) - Higher English<br />A (Band 1) - Higher Mathematics<br />A (Band 2) - Higher Chemistry<br />B (Band 3) - Higher Physics<br /><br />Anything else ya wanna know about me, PM me or add me to your MSN contact list and chat to me there. :P

Nah, supposedly Geology is the hardest.

AH Chem is meant to be the hardest AH.

I would put it between 58 and 61. And around 74 for an A. I think.

i thought it would be atleast 62%

how can a B be a minimum of 58%?

You think it was a pretty hard paper in comparison with recent years then?
I'd guess (and that's pretty much all it is) 47% for a C, 61% for a B, and 76% for an A.

lol half of my chem class walked out within like 40 minutes. Geniuses I tell you. I was the only one left in the end vigorously racing against the clock. But I finished. Anyway, its all over! smile.gif

Yeah, it definitely wasn't mate.

Anyway you know if you look at it from the point of view of an A being 76%, that means you can lose like 24 marks. That does seem quite alot doesnt it.

Erm.. well they all failed nearly each and every NAB. And the bit about the exam being easy, I suppose no one saw the sarcasm. tongue.gif

i got a A estimate

what happens if i get a C in the exam?...does it AUTOMATICALLY get upgraded to a B?

DON'T quote me on this, but I think if you're close to the boundary or something, then they upgrade it. Not 100% certain though.

lol! I thought anyone in their right mind would stay for longer than 40 minutes, but when Tupac said "It wasn't that easy sad.gif" and you didn't contradict him I thought they must be geniuses!

I've been estimated at a C for phy. But I'm pretty sure in the actual exam I'm on an A hopefully. I just hope being estimated at a certain grade doesn't sorta discriminate in your marking... i.e. markers aren't really expecting that much out of you so they don't look to give marks sad.gif .Unless the markers dont know your estimtes?

it's just the sqa who know ur marks and then when the tmarker has finished marking them he/she sends it away and the sqa does all the changing.
