Right Ive this on Monday. Is it just like a Higher NAB with questions on the business you have choosen. Ive learnt everything I have been told to, but is it a straightforward answer the questions with the aid of your pro-formas?

Cheers.

Just been reliably informed by Alistair Wylie @ SQA that he's not putting the answers online because he's too scrapped for cash. Replied saying this was pathetic, and to get their act together, but I fear it will fall on deaf ears.

Any other subjects not got the marking schemes on yet?

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!

That is shocking! ohmy.gif

Surely it can't cost that much?!

There's not any marking schemes up for Information Systems either. But they've put the P.A Reports up so maybe just maybe they'll put the marking scheme up soon.

I think the head of Computing/Information Systems is Bobby Elliott or Derek Middleton.

The Marking Instructions for Information Systems still aren't online, so I doubt they'll put them on soon.

Adv/dis of globalisation:

Adv: You have more potential customers (going global)
Adv: More sales = more opportunities for economies of scale
Adv: Market dominance?

When we went into Europe we could export freely to the 14 other countries (at that time).

However,

Dis: Competition may decrease your own market share.
And so on.

Look, globalisation isn't that difficult - it's just tricky to figure out what the examiner's looking for. It's just basic details on expanding etc that you need to give them.

When it comes to ecommerce:

Dis: Initial cost to set up a distribution service for online retailing.
Dis: Staff may feel threatened - insecure with regards to their job prospects.
Dis: Staff may need re-training, cost involved.

And so on......

Good luck, but trust me - they can only ask you questions based on what the notes say... it's not as if they can just throw anything in.

If your school isn't using the proper unit notes as per the Higher Still Development Unit's notes, go to www.ltscotland.org.uk/ and go to the NQ section, look for NQ Electronic Library, finding the notes from there.

The official reason for this is basically what Dave said. I e-mailed the SQA a while back to see about AH Comp 2004.

Although as George - I think - pointed out there is now the Freedom of Information Act, which should in theory make all this information accessible.

It's more an issue for AH subjects were the questions are quite complex in terms of the answers.
