The track distance is 200m.
A dog with a reaction time of 0.4s is released at the instant the hare passes the starting line.
The dog accelerates at a constant rate of 2.5s and reaches a speed of 15m/s. This speed is maintained for 7.5s, after which the dog begins to decelerate at a rate of 0.5m/s/s until it has covered 200m.
a) calculate the distance the dog has run, upto the instant at which it starts to decelerate.
b)i) calulate the speed of the dog at the 200m mark.
ii) calculate the time the dog takes to cover this distance.
Could you help maybe by giving pointers rather than the answer so that I can learn from it
