Hi!!
I was just wondering, if you have something as 2xln4 could you change this to xln16 or ln4 [^(2x)]. I know it's basic stuff but i just wanted to check.
Thanks,

eh yea you can if I'm reading what you mean correctly:

2x*ln(4) = ln(4^(2x)) NOT [ln(4)]^2x

its just your basic log rules..... a*ln(x) = ln(x^a)

let a = 2x and yea.......

just be careful ph34r.gif if its a calculator exam you could always try it out on your calc by assigning x an arbitrary number and seeing if its equal
