A question asked previously in 1994

why is water loss in a plant never Zero?

I dont have the answers and i have no clue,
is it because a plant is always photosynthesising and thus it is using up water and therfore the water is always losst but what if it is in darkness??

Any Help will really be appreciated many thanks

Sorry I don't think what I said before is right!I read in this book that it's because some water is still lost directly through the cuticle of the leaf!!
