Well last year, I completely messed up and failed all three highers I was doing. I am doing 5 highers this year and need to get BBBB if not that then BBCC, do you think I will be able to do this?

That depends totally on you and how much you apply yourself. Those grades should be achivable with some work. However you could easily obtain better if you did a lot of work.

What subjects did you fail and what are you doing this year?

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!

I'm pretty sure that you could pass them. I know people who have stuffed up in S5 but then really put the work in in S6 and got the grades they needed. You've got a good chance of getting Chemistry and History anyway since you're resitting. You must be quite good at math and english to pass the Int2's so there's no reason why you shouldn't get the grades in them. Just really work hard all year and don't forget what you need. I did that last year and it worked for me. If you need any help just ask, good luck!

If you really work hard this year and if you really want to do well then I'm positive you'll get the grades you need.

Everyone on here [myself included] are very helpful so if you're struggling with any aspects of any of your subjects then just ask smile.gif

Of course you've got a chance if you work at it. Last year I messed up my highers and failed (okay got into A's but might as well said failed) 4 out of the 5. I knew I had work to get where I wanted to be (I did want to Pharmacy butthe best laid plans never go to plan do they?tongue.gif) This year I went and got Highers in:
  • Maths A
  • Information Systems B(still trying to figure out why I took this)
  • English C
  • Biology C
  • Chemistry C
Now I am at Robert Gordon in Aberdeen studying Occupational Therapy (there goes another 4 years of my life).
Know what you want and where you want to be, and I'm sure you can achieve what you want.

I thinks its like the AA here: Just Ask rolleyes.gif

Good luck

From the Plan It website

Helps people with physical or mental health problems to lead a more independent life through a guided programme of activities.

Talks to patients and other professional staff to assess patients` needs.

Plans domestic, social and work activities as appropriate for the patient. These might include shopping, cooking, visiting places like a cinema or restaurant, travelling on buses or trains, or using tools or equipment for work.

Supports the patient through these activities either on their own or as part of a group.

Supports patients, families and carers by listening or giving advice.

Advises on lifestyle or equipment available to improve the situation or assist recovery.

Writes reports and keeps records of work done and progress made by patients.

Career Development

There is currently a shortage of Occupational Therapists in some parts of the country.

Most Occupational Therapists work in the National Health Service, but there are also opportunities to work in Social Work Departments or in private practice.

It is possible to specialise in a particular client group or type of disorder, or to vary the type of patient you work with by moving into different areas of work.

Gaining qualifications, such as those mentioned in the Entry section, is essential for your entry and progression. With experience and ability, promotion to senior positions and into managerial posts is possible.

Further qualification may allow work in teaching or research.

There may be opportunities to work abroad.

enough information?or do you want more?
