Anyone applying to medicine in 2008 has to sit this "cognitive" test
i think its to make sure that you're not another Harold Shipman
so has anyone sat it????

I did it last year for dentistry. Seemed a waste of time and 60 quid. The uni's didnt really seem to talk about it so I doubt it even featured in their final decision.

I dont think there is a specified time, but wouldnt a teacher be hurting themselves by assigning a test that the students arent prepared for?

Teachers would be hurting themselves if they did this. However, the exam is set by an independent group of universities with a view to "sort the men out from the boys", so to speak, when it comes to medicine/dentistry applications.
