Maths B
German A
Information Systems A
Human Biology B
2. English is actually a shock as i was pretty sure i had got a B. Human Biology i would have thought an A but wrong again. However i'm delighted with Maths as last June i didn't even want to do it lol. German was the one i was most confident with so i'm happy with an A. Information Systems i'm surprised too as i thought i've got a C.
3. With English i can afford a C as i need BBBC to get into Accounting at Glasgow Caledonian. I may appeal English though as i got a B in the prelim.
4. Doing AH Biology, H Chemistry and H History in S6 and then hopefully Accounting at Glasgow Caledonian.
5. Not sure lol

2. Did you meet your expectations?
Yes and no... English, i cant even believe i passed that god forsaken subject.. you should read my rant: http://www.hsn.uk.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=5498
Learnt basically nothing that year so thats such a relief

3. If not will you appeal?
Hm.. i can't really... i'd need to like bribe the sqa to get an A for english.. ive got great essays but not great close readings, i'd only have an A from choosing my best essays with my best close readings.. i'll still ask i think but its unlikely. Biology.. depends what the grade boundaries are.. cos i got an ambiguous A/B for the prelim, ie it could go either way in an appeal... don't think i'll bother really, i'll still ask

4. What are you plans now?
Not a clue... French + Something at St. Andrews.. needed AABB so ive beaten the entry conditions

5. How do you plan on celebrating?
Not sure.. probably just a party at a friends house!

2. Did you meet your expectations?
More than, not including English. At the start o the year I was extremely close to dropping both maths & biology so the fact I went on and got B's I'm really happy with. I did really weel throughout English all year though and even got an A in a prelim so I'm quite dissapointed with that.
3. If not will you appeal?
Hopefully I'll be able to appeal English.
4. What are you plans now?
Just to get in touch with all my friends and let them know and decide fully what I'm gonna do next year... and also celebrate! xD

I got: Maths-C
English-A
French-A
Biology-A
History-A
Yes, i did exceed expectations and i will appeal for maths if possible as in the prelim i achieved a B with 68% i think, so hopefully that will give me some substance to appeal from. Here's hoping at least! Does anyone know if 68% would secure a B on appeal as i'm unsure. Thanks!
And best of luck to everyone with their exam results

Well got my results by text message before I managed to double-check them online as it wouldn't work this morning. Thought the text mesage idea was quite neat, though just HOW do they manage to get the sender to appear as "SQA" instead of a number?... (thoughts anyone?)
1. What you got.
Chemistry - A
French - A
Human Biology - A
Maths - A (really unexpected 'cos I thought the exam didn't go well at all)
Physics - A
(All at Higher level)
2. Did you meet your expectations?
Surpassed them!
3. If not will you appeal?
N/A
4. What are you plans now?
Really have no idea - I might work for a year in a sector relevant to my desired course at uni, this would let me save up lots of money for uni AND get lots of experience!
5. How do you plan on celebrating?
Going out for a meal with family tomorrow and going out with my friends at the weekend to celebrate & let our hair own. We all decided to work this week in case we did really bad and had to get out of the house away from the parents to let them cool down! So can't go out til weekend as we're comitted to work

You send them through an online messaging gateway, so you can specify any sender you like. Also costs much less than what a normal text would. (I built a script to do just that on a client's website).
Well done with your results, hope mine are half as good...

cheers Kiltox
interesting, wanted to try it out, so typed into google "online text messaging" and "online messaging gateway" but can't get anyone that seems to offer you the chance to specify the sender (unless they're just not stating that this facility is available)
so can you suggest any (reasonably priced) particular service providers?
thanks
