Heyy

This is just a general question - I am wondering if I need to learn all the uses of radioisotopes eg medical and which radioisotope it is? Just seems like a big bit to learn for not much chance of it coming up? rolleyes.gif

What do people think?

Thanks

I won't bother. If it does come up it'll be in multiple choices and all you need is some common sense.

Easiest thing to remember:

"Cobalt-60 is used for killing tumours"

That one line will do. You must say 60 rather than just Cobalt.

Our teacher said to remember Cobalt-60 because it's symbol is Co which looks like 60.
I remember the Carbon-14 for carbon dating as well.
