how did everyone do in the exam? Did u think tht the questions were fair?. Personally i thought tht the exam was really really good!!!!!. I was quite surprised. The south Africa question was nearly the same as my prelim

Overall i think tht i will get an A!!!!!! tongue.gif

"The Additional Member system gives voters more choice and better representation than does First Past The Post." Discuss this one was ok for me, I think I did quite well.

"To what extent do social and economic inequalities continue to exist in the UK?" This one was really bad for me, I completely mucked it up, I knew when writing it I was doing it wrong but by the time I realized what I should be writing it was too late, coming out the exam I remembered all of the things I should of said and was just severely gutted.

"Critically examine the effects of social and economic reform in China" This one was ok I think it went fairly well.

"To what extent do ethnic minorities influence the outcome of elections in the USA" I was again quite disappointed in the question, I had really concentrated on immigration and checks and balances of the president and felt quite confident. Then this freaking thing comes up, I knew a bit about it but It honestly wasn't enough.

The DME was shit. I had revised all this useless information about social classes, and geography and age, and gender and everything else basically except disability, and of course that is what came up :[

I was doing a crash higher and I don't accept to pass.

i thought the essays were gifts! did the devolution one, AMs and FPTP voting systems, meets original aims of welfare state (THE best question in the entire worlllld!!! happy.gif ) and i did china. ahahahah i had revised that topic so hard about social and economic reform and i absolutly winged it! tis amazing! laugh.gif

however, (hehe balance) the DME was not too good. i had no idea what the thing was about. i accidentaly started doing the report and wasted 10 mins then realised that i had forgotton to do the lead-in questions! so i was in a wee bit of a rush. i was really struggling to find point for OR against the whole palava! but i managed to finish and i think i did okay. wink.gif

overall i think a B or an A would be just fine thank you very much! biggrin.gif

FPTP and AMS question - was alright.. I made up my own AMS system it appears tongue.gif I mixed it with STV as well by mistake but oh well~ other than that it was alright

Inequalities - Alright... babbled on a bit too much

One party state - I kissed my pen at that, we did this for the NAB and for the prelim biggrin.gif

America - was kind of shaky

Paper two was okay tongue.gif no clue what ESA was though!

the ams and fptp and founding principles of the welfare were gifts for me and the usa was ok, the devolution one was okish

DME the lead in questions were ok i didnt include enough background in the report so im going to lose marks for that some of it was a bit confusing, was just trying to include all the sources so ive done that and got it finished smile.gif

i really want a B as im planning on taking advanced higher next year eek

hope everyone gets the result they want smile.gif

ESA was just something they'd made up remember. I argued against its introduction, purely because i found it easier to argue in terms of social inclusion strategies, et cetera. I made a few major mistakes on the DME though i think unsure.gif

Ahh glad to see someone else who does S Africa in this forum! What did you make of the 'its sstem has all the features of a democracy' part? I just sort of ignored it sad.gif

Same. Me and my mates all thought they had made it up. Background knowledge was made harder since none of us knew what it actually was.

Ye, the essays weren't too bad. Just tried to make the essays balanced and add some recent examples in. I hope that I've passed but you never know cool.gif
