please someone help me!! I need to know the best way to revise for chem!! I really have no idea and i usually just look over my notes and do past papers. I am not at all confident for this exam i got a B in the prelim but it was 64% but that was just luck. so any help on the ways you revise would be appreciated!!

what i usually do is look over my notes and then put them in a form that is easier to understand such as bullet points and mind maps as they are easier for me to remember it just depends what type of learner you are i guess.

my teacher gave us a break down of past papers so when i revise each section i go and try the past paper question relating to that section to make sure i have understood

did your teacher go over your prelim?

U all sound really confident bout the exam and it sounds like ur all doin' tonnes of revision. i wish i was like that, lol. unsure.gif I got an A for the prelim but i am scared i'll let myself down on the day.

I don't have much time to revise cos i got H Health & Food technology exam on wednesday (day after!) and beleive me there is LOADS 2 revise for it (it's probably harder than chemistry ohmy.gif ).

Totally stressing out about chem now - really do not have a clue about the whole of unit 1 (especially bonding) plus most of the calculations ( can only do excess and hess's law!!) also hate equilibrium - well at least I know if none of the above dont come up i have an A laugh.gif

Gonna study loads this w/e and monday - really want/need a B!! Got 47% in my prelim so really hope I can do much better than that.

Good Luck all - anyone else totally scared?

I am up chocolate creek without a popsical stick here people!

I just looked at a past paper and I am in serious trouble. I can hardly do any questions!
I know I need to study but i just cant do it because i feel no matter how hard i study i am going to fail anyway. What should i do, do just give in?

cheers

i was going to drop chemistry as i failed both my prelims but i thought i would regret it so i continued and im glad i have in a way so basically what im saying is dont give up as you will have the 'what if' thoughts what if i just revised that extra half hour, what if i did more past paper questions so DONT give in

theres plenty of people on here that can help you if you post the questions you are struggling with.just try and find some motivation to study and i know that its hard. just try to have 'postive thinking' and say you are going to pass(i know this all sounds sad but if it helps it will be worth it)

is chemistry your last exam?

Yea its the last 1. I think that might be half the problem tho. Ive done 4 Highers so far and all my friends are now finished so im the only 1 left studying and im sick of it. Im gonna have to just buckle down and do it but its so hard and to be honest i can be just arsed anymore. But thanks for the advice Claire.
