Well, back in unit 1 you learned that m = \tan \theta and we already have m = -1 from part a), so:

\\m = \tan \theta
\\\tan \theta = -1
\\\theta = -45

However, the answer is not 45o: instead it is 180 - 45 = 135o

Don't worry too much about the Winter Diet 2002 Papers (or indeed any before the year 2003) as the exam board have made the papers easier since then. They're still pretty tough thoguh!

Ya, ya. When else can one sit it? I'm sure it will all be fine. My teacher advises revising the 'bread and butter' questions, which are sort of the same process again and again. Things like integration, knowing how to find a stationary point, et cetera. Not that I'm the expert - I didn't get full marks on my NABs! No one in my class has had that, and we had quite a few 'A' passes in the prelim, so I'm sure you'll be fine.
