Anyone can post and thanks for the great contribution. smile.gif

Also interesting to hear that Buenos Aries received its first snowfall since 1918 the other day!

Here's a few more articles:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20070712/wl_af...AaiaVmoc.dvaA8F

Thats on flooding in the Sudan, its just been anounced that at least 30 lives were claimed.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/csm/20070710/wl_csm/omidwives_1

Thats about the increase is midwifery in Darfur. Not necessarily directly useful for any particular part of the course, but good back ground information, and possibly a decent up to date example of Development and Health.

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/wo...headlines-world

Sudanese refugee's in Israel face deportation despite no real resolution of the reasons they became refugee's.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070711/ap_on_...yOVnEiIGl4PLBIF

Scientists once again try to talk the US into doing something about Global Warming.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070712/sc_nm/...hOLFw3kmJUPLBIF

Again not exactly directly related to anything in the course, but could be used as an example of human degradation and destruction of healthy ecosystems.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070716/ap_on_re_as/japan_quake

A fairly powerful earthquake has just hit northwest Japan. Worryingly one of the structures affected was a nuclear power plant, which suffered a fire and a water leak, straight into the Sea of Japan.
