this is a question from the notes - i know that the solutions are on the notes, but i dont understand what was done to get the answer can someone please explain

the example is on page 5 of unit 2 - outcome 3 notes it is example 9

the question is:solve cos(2x + pi.gif /3) = 0.812 for 0 < x < 2 pi.gif

the way i have been taught is to keep the calculater on degrees then change my final answer to radians as many people forget to change their calculator back to degrees

i would be grateful for any help

convert the radians to degrees, do the equation, and then convert the answer back to radians.
