Only difference I know is that business management focuses more on the running and handling of a business, whilst Business studies works on the area on a much broader scale.

Well, that's the rule-of-thumb I've always went by. I hope I'm not wrong. I'm doing Business at Uni. >.>;

You could be correct Alan, but IIRC Business Management that the SQA run, is what you have called Business Studies.

Yes - business studies could theoretically cover ANY aspect of business at all (accounting, economics, business management, marketing, HRM, etc). And probably will cover most areas without going into massive depth.

Business management will focus on specific areas such as finance, human resource management and the like that a manager would monitor to successfully run a business.

In conclusion, I have just rehashed what the above speakers said. So ya, what they said. smile.gif

as far as i knew BM is the scotch version of the english BS
