If you want to go to do a sixth year before uni then you apply in sixth year (before UCAS' October deadline). An unconditional offer means you have a place guaranteed without any more qualifications needed from your exams, whereas a conditional has conditions that you must meet before you will have a guaranteed place - for instance BB at Higher. However, if you meet these conditions the uni cannot change it's mind and not let you in.

yes, it is. not for law though i don't think, just Oxbridge & medics, unless they've changed it recently (as in, more recently than 2 years ago!)
when i'm dancin' with you,
tomorrow doesn't matter,
turn that music up,
till the windows start to shatter,
cos you're the only one who can get me on my feet,
& i can't even dance

Is anyone going to the "So You Want To Be A Doctor?" conference in June? I think it's the 12th June, not entirely sure. smile.gif

I am going. I just arranged to go myself though because our school didn't tell us about it. It is on the 12th of June.

Hey, I dont know if you'll accept this on this forum, but im looking to study biomedical science and possibly use it as an entry route towards a medical degree. This isnt my main reason for choosing this degree, more being that i like the look of the course. Does anyone have any views on this course? Or using this course as an entry route to medicine?

Might have posted this before, but for medics-to-be you probably will find this site interesting http://www.instantanatomy.net/

It's got drawings done by the guy who is in charge of anatomy down here.

More useful I think are the anatomy podcasts and audio-visual lectures:

http://www.instantanatomy.net/podcasts.html
http://www.instantanatomy.net/avlectures.html

I think these are quite useful because they give you an overview rather than detail which you can then go and learn from textbooks.

Have a listen and see if you find it interesting.

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!

I don't suppose anyone who is going to this conference knows if uniform has to be worn or not? smile.gif
