erm i dont think the old ones are good. Apart from anything they dont stop very well which is quite a major problem in my opinion lol

I'm sorry but the new minis are not shit! Really don't know how anyone could come away with that bundle of shite btw. If they were 'shit' then why are they so expensive? Personally, i think they are one of the best small cars on the road and i'm sure the majority of the population think so too...and oh yeah why would BMW dealerships supply them if they were shit? Surely they would want to keep their high class status and not provide shit cars. A shit car could be an ancient Mini, Ladda or a Ford Ka. ( two of which various members of my family have owned over the years)

so Minis are not shit...they are awesome to drive i'll have you know.

I got a Vauxhall Corsa, called Jimmy, last year and love it to bits. He's really easy to drive and doesn't guzzle his petrol too quickly. I've not had any problems (touch wood) whatsoever with him since i bought him last April.

As for insurance, im with Diamond - who are brill! My first year's insurance was £1005 and when i got it insured again recently it went down to £453, fully comp. Only the girls would probably benefit from this advice though because it's a girlie only company, but im sure the guys could find a way round it somehow!

I know absolutely nothing about cars so i don't know if they are rotten or not. The high price tag doesn't necessarily mean that the car is good though.

I think there are far too many car snobs out there. Different cars suit people with different lifestyles.

Personally i'd just be happy with a license...

Lesley, you are right- high price doesn't necessarily mean good quality but in this case it does. BMW produce fantastic cars yeah? Well a mini's engine is made by BMW, according to the two Mini owners in my family, therefore BMW would not produce shit cars . I've got nothing against anyone on this forum but I believe that some people do not have a clue what the term 'shit' means. My dad's well into cars and i don't think he would let my sister and mum fork out that amount of money for a shit car. ( oh and I ain't a snob, i'm stating a valid point.)

I hate subaru impretza's lol, i just had to say it! my dad used to have one (yes, my dad, who is a grandpa...mind you he is only mid-40s, still though, not cool)

hehe, kinda funny though, as it was SOO nosy, so i renamed it "The Tractor" used to annoy my dad if a tractor would go past and id say "Dad your car is going past....oh no, just a tractor!!"

Thankfully he came to his senses and has a BMW now (dont like that one either, its a weird shape, not a normal looking BMW, personally i think its unattractive...yes, im hard to please.)

the noise is half the fun of having one. The best thing though is the power you just look at the accelerator and you get whip lash! its great fun

evo's arent much fun. Especially the top of the range one which you have to fill with high performance petrol. Get serviced every 5 mins and replace the tyres all the time. Its just to hardcore, takes the fun out of it basically
