I ain't pleased with the result of today's game between England and Ecuador. dry.gif England made it to the quarter-finals of the world cup, which is depressing.

Their performances have been shocking. Portugal or Holland will rip England a new one if they continually play as badly as they have.

Their luck has to run out sometime...surely? unsure.gif

Bladdy hell, that was a messy game. 4 send off... Bad refereeing, Deco shouldn't even have gone, terrible. Pretty awful to watch, i stopped watching after 60 mins.

Know what's quite depressing? England have had the 4 worst spectacles of the whole tourny, are playing vastly below their best, and yet are in the quarters and likely to reach the semis against a severely under-strength Portugal. It's looking like their time has come again, hopefully not! sad.gif

I admit unfortunately they have a very good chance of making the semi-finals but look at the teams they may face, brazil/ghana/spain/france. So in reality if they do make the semis then they dont stand a chance of getting through with the way they have been playing, i have seen most of their games and to be quite frank they have played very poorly in every one of their matches to date.

Closely followed by Ukraine...who have also made it through to the quarters somehow.

The result with Italy was harsh on the Socceroos, they deserved better. Diving, cheating, hacking, poncy Italian b******s.

Well, what to say about today? The Ghanains were unlucky, whereas the French were lucky. Anyway, "Allez Les Bleus!" biggrin.gif

Lost a lot of respect for Thierry Henry tonight. He's meant to be a model professional but that was shocking. Spain have a great young team that deserved better and will do better in a few years.

Ghana tried to attack but just didn't have the quality to create an end product. After the sending off Brazil just made it look oh so easy.

Owen has admitted yesterday that England are playing shit, but says its due to the quality of their opponents, if they came up against a big team their performance would improve rolleyes.gif laugh.gif
