hee hee fair enough laugh.gif although I should mention I'm one of the "you should support us" patrol afterall I do support Scotland if they're playing anyone that isn't England.

France were distinctly average I think when they were playing Switzerland.

Few days late, I know, but hey...

U.S.A vs. Czech Republic. 2 things. 1st, Rosicky is a legend. And 2nd, the U.S.A should never be allowed to play "soccer" (I hate that word) again. Ever. Their performance was pretty damn embarassing. Those Budweiser adverts have taken on a whole new meaning.

I was pretty surprised by Ghana, for the opposite reasons. Despite losing to Italy, IMO, they were the better team overall. In the first half, particularly, they were running rings around Italy, only to mess it up when it came to the (fairly important) goal scoring.

One more, final statement. Damn Gamarra and his big head.

Jeez that was boring. Poland...playing for a draw...WTF mate. Then they were relying on Costa Rica beating Ecuador. Should've just gone at Germany, at least try to make a bloody game of it.

Best team so far? Well, either Spain or Czech Republic.

Poland were very lucky, could easily have been 3-0

Schweinsteiger was very disappointing

Wow...gg USA. Hope the Italian player who stuck the elbow on McBride gets a nice long suspension.

Y'know, that has suddenly made me extremely anti-Italian. Get them beat Czechs.

Brazil under perform again. They still look reasonably comfortable but Harry Kewell should have burst the net for the Aussies.

Although I have a funny feeling that Germany will go far.

I think Spain will win it. Think and hope. The only other team I think that stands a chance of winning is Argentina. I think it will look like...

Germany vs Sweden

Ecuador vs England

Argentina vs Mexico

Netherlands vs Portugal

Brazil vs Italy

Czech vs Croatia

Switzerland vs Ukraine

Spain vs France

Quarters

Argentina vs Germany

England vs Netherlands

Czech vs Ukraine

Spain vs Brazil

Semi's

Argentina - Netherlands

Czech - Spain

Final

Argentina vs Spain => Spain winnar!

I don't know if I got the fixtures (aka winner 49 vs 50 etc) correct though :3

I planted sunflower seeds a while ago, and I thought, "right, however many of these actually grow into fully fledged flowers will represent the total number of World Cup victories by whoever wins this time round". It was a surprisingly well constructed thought for me.
So far, there are three thriving seedlings, and as only Uruguay or Argentina could win a third World Cup at this moment in time, and Uruguay didn't make it to Germany......

ARGENTINA WILL WIN THE WORLD CUP

According to me and a bunch of flowers biggrin.gif
