The scores were:

Germany 4-2 Costa Rica
Ecuador 2-0 Poland

And we're off! biggrin.gif Fantastic performance from Ecuador today, I was put to shame for dismissing them.

I got the same impression. It was like they were on edge the whole match. It was an own goal, in no way a demo of England's skill, but this is just going to be brushed aside as 'another win for England'. <.<

Yeah, I saw Nakamura's goal then Kewell hit the cross bar just as I was about to go back down to Dalkeith. So I was decided to shove a tape in cause I knew it would be a cracker. Superb last 10 minutes, though Cahill was lucky not to turn from hero to villain with the Japanese penalty claim.

Yeah, he took his second one really well too. Arsenal have got a steal at £7m for him.

I think Ronaldo explains the great pie disappearance at the Bernabeu of late. wink.gif

As I said in the other topic: Kaka put a bit of sparkle into a poor performance by Brazil

Expected so much more of Zidane and Henry. Makelele was good but those that actually put their foot and the ball and are meant to make the play were posted missing today.

Gygax should have scored.
